Default Iu? Uk?

IU and Kentucky will not be playing next year. Calipari wanted to move it back to neutral venues, Crean stood his ground and did not want to cater to Calipari. The series had been at Rupp and Assembly Hall the last six years, I believe.

I know Mick has mentioned wanting to play some of the regional teams, so here is a good opportunity. IU will likely get UNC or NC State in B1G/ACC at home, and is playing in a two-game event in New York with UGA, UCLA, Georgetown. They also get Butler at Banker's Life. IU probably doesn't NEED another big game, but I don't see why they shouldn't pick up another power six team.

UK is still set to play a game at Lucas Oil in Indy, so maybe UC could fill that void. UK is without IU and UNC on its schedule this year and Calipari seems to favor netural sites since he knows Rupp will be sold out anyway and he thinks it helps them for tournament. If UC doesn't get a home game with UK in the Big East/SEC Challenge (I'm sure if he saw Pitino's comments about the UC-UofL atmosphere, Calipari will not want to come to the Shoe), maybe UC can play them at Lucas Oil. Would be a ton of UK fans, but there would be plenty of UC fans willing to make that drive.

I might go to that game even if UK doesn't play UC. Just so I can root against the wildcats

I would like to see us contract with IU for a 10 year home & home series. That would be
a great addition to our schedule.

Hopefully Calipari's familiarity with our program helps us get a game against them every once in a while. I'm fairly confident Mick will land a contract with IU sometime in the near future.

Well, UK apparently does not have a date at Lucas Oil. I'd rather see them in the Big East SEC Challenge anyway.

UC-IU may have some teeth to it. We'll see. I fully expect that Mick placed a call over to Bloomington last Thursday.
