For those wondering Part II was VIP access only and had the meat of the article. Part III will be free and mostly about Gaines I suspect. 8:30am tomorrow

Funny how people disagreed with me when, after reading an Obekpa insider article and someone else subsequently copy and pasted the full text, I suggested it was not appropriate to paste insider content here. Yet, no one has offered up any scoop from this Cronin article.
FWIW, I doubt there is anything that important that could be in an offseason interview and I think the teasing and pay wall hiding of certain content on BCL is a joke. Couldn't tell you how many times I've posted info about a recruit on here and within 10 minutes a thread is started by a fan over there and the content is blocked from non-subscribers. |

If they don't hide some of the content then no one subscribes. If no one subscribes, then they have no money to send Chad on the road to AAU events (which is where he got this interview), can't pays guys like Scott Springer to write for the site, and basically can't afford to provide any of the coverage they do.

I understand the subscription model, but I've also seen the recruiting coverage is backed by Brookwood Retirement as well, so there's that.
It is a good site, I think the issue is that there is less media coverage in general. With schools like IU, UK, UNC, etc. (OSU, etc. for football) there is so much media coverage and journalists that there is less exclusive scoop - thus, even if stuff goes behind way walls, another journalist will have the scoop too and tweet about it or post on a non premium site. This is great for the fans. Just doesn't happen with UC, unfortunately -- there is the Enquirer and there is BCL. And Bearcat Report but haven't been the least bit impressed. Nonetheless my main point was why people (or mainly one person) posts insider content from Rivals, etc. in full on this site but no one does with BCL? Because there are plenty of people on this site who either are members at BCL, work (or have worked) at BCL, or are friends with the guys at BCL who keep the premium content in check. No one from rivals or any other pay site is doing that so stuff slips by.

The general rule is don't copy and paste an article from anywhere when a link and summary will do. Please do not post information from ANY pay sites as a general rule. It's copyright infringement. If you choose to do so it is at your own risk or penalty. Each case will be resolved on an individual basis depending on the site. I could care less if someone reposts say the WSJ but I don't want people stealing from other Bearcats. If we get a take down request it will be honored.
Full Disclosure: Moderator ShaunSimpson has been a BCL member for the entire time he's been a mod here. It's one of the reasons I recommended him. I recently joined BCL myself last year simply because 247sports rolled my credit card after I signed up for a 7 day trial. ![]() It's been a very difficult line for me to walk to not post information from their VIP threads. I have to wait until it becomes public knowledge/shows up somewhere else before I can talk about it. That's why you've seen an uptick in me accidentally teasing this year. Myself and the other subscribers to BCL would prefer to not tick them off and lose our subscription. They do enforce it.
