59th out of 338 is not bad if it were home games only, but this is all games including the NCAA Tourney.
Being behind Xavier, Dayton, Temple is very bad. Here's hoping the fans come out to see our team a little more often.

Thanks for correcting, I did not look at column where it shows number of games. I was reading the notes and got confused with Div II and III not including tourney games.
Nonetheless, less than X and Temple sucks. There's not much else to do in Dayton during the winter, so I give them a pass and congrats on loyal fan-base.

The key is the improvement, which became decidedly better once the crummy OOC schedule was over and local fans warmed up to this past season's team. Because of the well-documented trough that the program was in over the past few years, it was going to take awhile for more seats to be filled.
I suspect that there will be further improvement in attendance this year, partially because this team (on paper) appears to be quite good, but also because Whit Babcock has said the OOC schedule will be better. The XU game is going to happen, probably at the Shoe (sell-out). It really would be great if the BE-SEC challenge forces UK to drive up I75 (scalpers' delight). |
