Default OT: Zeke Pike booted from Auburn

Looks like he'll be going to school elsewhere this year (NKU?). It'll be interesting to see if he goes back to Auburn or chooses someplace closer to home. I know we offered him a ways back. If he cleans up his act, I wouldn't mind seeing him come here to compete with Munchie, Coyle, etc.

If I am him I transfer and sit out the year right now. People make mistakes. Lots of ways to handle it besides sending the kid home. That means a wasted year even academically. Maybe the better thing would be to redshirt him and at least he gets an education.

No thanks. One incident's a mistake, more than that is a lifestyle.

I believe he was arrested for public intoxication and obviously....underage drinking on campus.

If I were him, I'd move on to another program. No need to go back there with that hanging over his head in the minds of the coaching staff. Sit out this year and still have 4 years left.

He was suspended in high school, too. I don't know what for. It sounds like he needs to grow up. 18 is not a child, but he's acting like one. That doesn't make him a bad kid, though.

18 sure as heck isn't really an adult either. Heck, he could be a bad kid, I don't know. But again, I find it better to figure out how to help than to throw away.

If we get him to come to UC will we get us a new cheerleader (ex Bengal) too?

I think she has used up her eligibility. Plus that pesky little ankle bracelet isn't too attractive.

Lance McAlister just mentioned that Auburn said he is transferring out, SHOCKER!

Heck, when I was junior, most of our seniors were suspended for our last football game of the season vs. LaSalle because most of them went out and got hammered the night before because we were off of school on Friday for in-service.

Wasn't a first and surely wasn't the last time something like that has happened.

I thought his high schools problems had something to do with synthetic marijuana, but I could be wrong.

If there's a synthetic marijuana somebody better alert the DEA. Are you maybe thinking of Salvia?

I'm just guessing, but I'd say he didn't come here because he didn't want to be in his brother's shadow and he wanted to have the "away from home" college experience.

Kids not worth it. He was suspended from his HS team for throwing the ball at the official after a bad call. His issues go well beyond underage drinking.
