Default Jack Twyman

Just heard on 9 News with John Popovich that Jack Twyman passed away this evening. Jack was a great Bearcat and Cincinnati Royal, but perhaps an even better person for all he did off the court including caring for Maurice Stokes after he became incapacitated.

RIP #27

One of the best on and off the court. The reason I even heard of UC as a kid. Thanks Jack and my condolences to family and friends. RIP.

I too saw the report, but can't find anything on the internet this morning. Did WCPO screw up or is this great man being ignored by the press? It's not even on the WCPO website.

I am not finding anything. I would think this would be huge Cincy news if it happened. I am thinking not.

One of the all-time players on the court and one of the all-time persons off.

RIP.

I THINK Bob Knight mentioned him when he did our game this yr. He said Tyman, Jerry West and a 3rd person (can't remember his name- anyone remember?) were 3 of the most clutch shooters of all time. He also mentioned how caring Twyman was (caring for Stokes). So glad Huggs and company retired his #.

On a different note Steven A Smith recently mentioned how Nick VE was one of the most clutch shooters of his era (true dat).

Wow, RIP. He was way before my time but I got the pleasure of meeting him a few times at the basketball camps and he was arguably one of the nicest person I have ever met. Talked to him for only short periods of time but he talked to me like we were lifelong friends. RIP.
