Default Larry Davis (coach)

Let's show some professionalism next time. St. John's isn't pick up and throw the head coach around worthy. What was that about?

Any road win in the BE is pick up and throw the head coach worthy.

Still wasn't a really great thing to actually DO though...

Geez Dude if you're going to blast someone at least have the courtesy to get the name right. That was George Jackson

LOL. On a side not, Louisville went down to Providence tonight.

People are really complaining about this? Wasn't that big of a deal to me either way, however, I do like the emotion!

I like what he did. It shows enthusiasm & excitement. That can not hurt at all.
I hope he does after every game the rest of the year.

People would also complain if they didn't show any emotion and looked like robots!

Agreed that it is a petty complaint, but all in all he's right. We just beat St. Johns and an assistant coach is acting like we just beat the Lakers, how far have we fallen... just sayin'. At least don't do it right as the coach is trying to shake the opponents coach hand, no sportsmanship shown there.

It just blows me away how many people enjoy being miserable so freaking much that they just have to have something to complain about. It smells of someone who had a huge post typed up and ready to hit send about how terrible this team is and how terrible of a job Mick did. When gates won the game they had to delete the post they worked so hard on and that's all that was left to say.

I see... so you are all the clowns who want to rush the field when we beat timbuktu community college at nippert. I don't care if we just beat Ohio State today, you show some class and pedigree, don't pick up your coach right as he's being sportsmanlike shaking coach Lavin's hand. Simple rule of sportsmanship, you're taught this when you're 5 years old. I don't have a problem with enthusiasm, but like the original poster said, we just barely knocked off an iffy team at best and a coach is flipping out.... a little overkill for the moment.

If you just beat OSU, I want to see a kiss with that hug.

Probably one of the few times he's been caught without a piercing stare and gritting his teeth. Seriously, that dude always looks PO'd.

Your screen name is fitting.

It's an emotional game, the team fought hard and won. So what if he got a little excited? He certainly was not trying to show up St. John's.

Get over it.

you seem to be missing the point. There is a time and place... after beating STJ.... is never a time or place, even so it just looked terribly unsportsman like and clownish on our part to have it done right in front of Lavin. This is no different than people complaining when fans rush the court... you gotta pick your spots, last time I checked STJ is not something to get amped up about.

Say all you want, I didn't even see it happen. I was settling down off the high of the last 30 seconds. Trying to see it on replay, but it won't load.

Edit: got it on replay. It went by so fast I could barely see it.

"Now Mick you really gotta chew your food before you swallow."

Love that face! It IS priceless, ha.
I don't think the lift was for winning, but how the game was won. The last 30 seconds went as well for Cincy as the last 30 seconds could have gone. Little bit emotional when your play call is executed perfectly and wins the game.

I noticed it, my wife even commented, "what was that, what's he doing?" I know it's not a huge deal, I'm just making the point that even though it's petty, it just looks dumb because it is against STJ, a win is a win in the BE, but man that makes us look lame when our coach is getting hoisted up for a moment after beating a mid-lower tier BE team.
