Last year we got Ben Pooler, the solid LB from Maryland, who got hurt and left school after the 3rd game.
Anybody know if we have any impact players, from other D-1 schools, who will be eligible in the fall? We could sure use a solid OT and DT! B.C.

Sam Longo is a Left Guard who sat out last year after transferring from Ohio State. He will be a Junior this season. I also hear he will definitely see the field this season and could develop into a leader on the OL.
Here is his Rivals profile from 2009: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footbal...am-Longo-66283 Pretty solid if you base anything off the offers he recieved back then.

Pooler didn't get hurt. The staff wanted to use him on special teams and Pooler didn't like that idea, so he left the team.

Pooler was also banged up in the fall practice. We saw first hand what looked like a shoulder injury. I just don't think he looked 100% whenever we saw him.
Longo will play only a matter of time. |
