Default Koch reporting that UC/UK might happen

Even though ESPN might pick differently for the BE/SEC challenge a neutral site game at US Bank is on the drawing board.

Just read that myself. This would be an awesome development if we start playing them every year at U.S. Bank Arena but I can at the very least accept an ESPN matchup to hopefully open up an every year matchup at US. Bank.

I wouldn't mind a US Bank meeting but ONLY if it were separate from the Big East/SEC Challenge.

We are entitled to a home game for that, so if we happened to draw UK and played that downtown, I would not be happy. Calipari doesn't like playing in tough environments on the road (see: Indiana University) and that would allow UK fans a better chance of getting tickets. We know from the U of L game last year that we have quite the home court advantage at 5/3 when we have the right matchup. I'd rather see 13,176 with some blue shirts behind UK's bench and up in the nosebleeds than 16 or 17K (whatever US Bank holds) with no home court advantage.

Does it really matter where we play? I'll take 'em any way or any where I can get 'em. Can you imagine what UK and XU home games would do for season ticket sales next year?.... not to mention coming of the Sweet 16 season.

Let's just play them & next year would be a great chance to whip their behinds with the
team we have.
Bring on UK!

Have you looked at the team they have? I hate UK with a passion. But, losing to them would hurt even more. It certainly would be good for attendance, though. Can you imagine 10,000 screaming UK fans? I can.

Andy Katz seems to think it will be UK at Georgetown. I personally don't think UK is playing UC and the above article/blog post is 100% speculation.
