Upgrading the football schedule

Sounds like Bob tried his damndest to find a FBS school for the 12th game before settling on Fordham.

I like the Purdue and Illinois series and i'd like to see Indiana added to the rotation, but unless a team is willing to do a home and home then I think you cross them off the list. If a team refuses to come here to play at PBS (if necessary) screw them (tO$U, Michigan, Michigan State, ND, etc.).

I think this is the most glaring exerpt from the article:

A sellout at Nippert Stadium generates between $750,000 and $850,000, according to Arkeilpane

Notre Dame Stadium seating a little over 80,000 and charging on average $75 per ticket depending on the opponent, is grossing $6 million per game. Ohio State is probably grossing closer to $7.5 million per game at $75/ticket and seating just over 100k.

With a total athletic budget that is less than half and sometimes as little as one-third the size of schools like ND, OSU, and UM it will be a rare event if such schools would ever play UC in Cincinnati. The only way I could see something like this shaking out would be if a potential opponent found themselves suddenly with a void on their schedule and UC had an opening too much in the manner UC was forced to schedule two FCS teams this coming season.
