Default Channel 19 news UC Incident?

Some bouncer at "Play" nightclub had channel 19 news with him to file charges that he was assaulted by UC basketball players last night.

Said he knew they were uc players because his boss told him so. He positively identified one player but they are not releasing the name at the time. UC said they will not comment yet as this was the first they had heard of it.

Even on the off chance something DID happen, deny everything.

Dude does his own amateur fight club videos.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=b71GLKr7Nn8

Also the fact that Mick or the AD's office didn't have a clue and no players tweeted anything "could"mean this guy's looking for a payday.

I really thought it was odd that he took channel 19 to the police department to report this.

I'm hoping you are right, but this just perpetuates that perception we are trying to fight .

Is that really the guy? If so, it's probably bs. TRASH.

Could use it, too. Look at that dump. That unmounted TV being LCD was a shock to me.

"Fox 19 exclusive" translates roughly into "no other news station desired to waste the gas on a van"

Just spent some time on his Facebook page, which he clearly hasn't understood the value of locking down. He definitely got hit in the eye pretty badly. But he claims he got hit by a guy who was 7 feet 250 lbs. I'm sure Mick would love to have whoever that guy is on the team.

He also brags about choking whoever it was out to the point the guy couldn't move his neck when he woke up. Which, in case any of you are scoring at home, probably exceeds reciprocal force. Regardless, probably not something to pound your chest about.

He also refers to UC players as, wait for it, "thugs" (I bet you guessed didn't you), appears to have been blackout drunk at some point this weekend, and yeah, invited the media to come with him to file a police report the next day. But not that night apparently.

Oh, we can't emphasize enough, he knew these guys were UC Basketball players because his boss said they were. That'll work.

IF this guy even got in a fight with a current UC player (and if it happened I have solid money on who I bet it was) I'm willing to bet it didn't start because he nicely asked the players to calm down and leave. 15 minutes on his Facebook page and looking at the YouTube video makes me pretty confident this guy doesn't negotiate his way out of too many fights. At least he was classy enough to invite the media to the police station with him.

"I seen the dude take three quick steps, jump up, and punch me in the eye."

I don't understand the physics of this story. A 7 foot guy takes three steps then jumps up and hits someone? Is McLucas 10 feet tall? Or was the player taking seated steps before jumping up?

Hey kids, don't go on tv without having your story set and locking your Facebook down and telling YouTube to remove video of you fighting someone.

Dude got socked in the right eye also meaning the "player" in all likelihood was a lefty. The only lefty I can think of recently is Rashad Bishop and he's not even close to approaching 7'-0" and 250#. Mick needs to bring every freaking one of them in right now for a lineup and not act like we're covering anything up.

Dude's attitude and his use of the word racial also makes it seem like he probably said something improper and got punched for it by whoever.

Since Cash was in Savanah all weekend we know he's not involved.

Many of the players on the team are not old enough to be in a club drinking. So I wonder what role PLAY had here if they were involved.

If this guy were choking my teammate to the point of knockout you can bet I would kick the tar out of him until he let go. And I'm pretty sure that doesn't make me a "thug". But then again I don't belong to a group against whom that term is used for coded racism.

Guys lets not blindly defend UC players cause the guy seems a little less than crediable.

But lets not throw them under the bus. If the story is that our guys were drinking and someone punched the bouncer I would expect someone to be punished. If it is Ellis or Cheik I would dimiss them.

So, it's a Fox 19 exclusive last night and this morning there's still no story about it on the Enquirer's sports page? Hmmmm... definitely seems suspicious...

When I was at UC my friends had a Fox19 drinking game.
We'd watch the 10 o'clock news, and they would take a shot every time a mistake was made.
They got drunk quickly.

Saw this on Fox last night. Went to research it more but found nothing today outside of fox19 until I see the headline on cbssports.com on their front page. Not a good way to see this signing period ending. Hoping this is all false claims.
