Default Conference Championship and divisions

At the conference meetings they chose to make the Conference Championship a home game at a school rather than neutral site. This was to avoid the half filled stadiums some conferences run into in their games.

Secondly, they are discussing the two divisions and what team will fit where.

Based on what I'm hearing via Twitter the Home site will be the team with the best record and then some unknown tiebreaker. That's the deal currently. Majorly subject to change.

I have every expectation that UC will be the best team in the Big East ever season, so I am okay with an extra home game every year.

Steve Addazio called the three proposals on divisional alignment presented to the Big East football coaches and athletic directors at the conference's spring meetings a win-win-win situation for Temple.

One proposal would split the league into East and West divisions beginning in 2013. Another called for North and South divisions. And the third would have a non-geographic alignment, splitting the West Coast schools, the Texas schools, and the Florida schools.
