It frustrates me that we have finished ranked 4/5 seasons but we still have never started a season ranked. You'd think the voters would learn something after being wrong 80% of the time but I guess not.

That said, one win should put us in. Two at most.

You do realize this is the coaches poll we're talking about? The same poll where many coaches don't even fill out their own ballots (e.g. Spurrier).

When the coaches secretary is filling in the bubbles for the coach she is likely going by name recognition alone which is why so many of the traditional power programs linger at the top in the coaches poll compared to the AP which is much more hospitable to lesser known programs like UC, TCU, and Boise State.
