Nice find ... in 1885 & 1886 we played Auburn Academy ... I'm assuming that was located off McMillan St, because in 1887 we beat Cincinnati Woodward High School. I'm assuming opponents were hard to find back then.

It looks like early on UC played high school, YMCA and gym teams. Then a few years later they needed to weaken the schedule so they added Ohio State and Miami. :-)

In the early days many college team played local club teams. Not until closer to 1900 did UC and others start playing other college teams. It is very interesting to me see to the infancy of our program, and others.
