Default Its official Eugene Clifford has transferred to...

the Tennessee State Tigers... according to many sources this happened on July 27th, just go to google and look it up.... it seems he wasnt happy there and the final straw with tressel is when eugene punched two guys at the holy grail restaurant/bar.... i look for him to play one year there and transfer back to a BCS school so he wont have to sit out a year and look for UC to be #1 on his list so he is close to home and Coombs can watch over him...

I hope not. Plus he would still lose a year transfering from TSU to UC.... so I doubt it.

Would still have to sit out the year with the transfer back.

Sounds to me like a kid that needs to get as far away from some bad friends as possible. With that in mind, I can't imagine that moving closer to trouble (here) would be a very good idea. Here's hoping he can make some changes, get that degree and get his life on track so that he might play on Sundays.

no he wouldnt have to sit out a year because the NCAA rule states a player transferring to or from any division other than D-1 doesnt have sit out a year which means he could play there this year and play at a D-1 school next season... but friends arent his problem, at OSU he has no friends around him but also he didnt have anybody really to keep an eye on him (even though there shouldnt have to be)... i believe if he did come to UC that Coombs and eugene's father would keep him in check

Clifford would have been (and probably would still be) better off at Cincinnati. He would get playing time on a Top 25 BCS program with plenty of exposure and, more importantly would have had great guidance with Coach Coombs here.

well i graduated in the same class as eugene at colerain and we played together in football and basketball and i got to know him pretty well... he was a lifelong buckeye fan but you could tell in his heart he wanted to follow Coombs to cincy but his father didnt want him going to UC cuz he didnt think eugene would get noticed enough to be a 1st day NFL draft pick.... it also didnt help that mister simpson later announced he would enroll at UC and walk on the football team cuz little people know that eugene and mister never got along and many times got into fist fights in the locker room

Tennessee State is a D1AA (or whatever it is called now) and would have to sit out a year if he transfered to D1A. If you move up within the division you have to sit out a year. If you move down you do not have to sit out the year, but moving up you have to. He would not lose the elgibility year, but would still be subject to the 5 years for 4 years of elgibility rule.

o i didnt realize TSU was a D-1AA school but yea talkin to eugene, mister was the biggest reason he didnt attend UC its not like he was afraid of him cuz trust me eugene got the better of the fights but he was tryin to stay away from trouble but trouble just seems to find him... he started hanging out with donald washington up at OSU which is prolly the biggest reason he is always in trouble.... but i look for eugene to be in a bearcat uniform in 2 seasons... playing next to him and you hear all the time how superstar's teammates get caught watching him instead of playing the game and that's how it was... when he would return a kick/punt or get an INT we knew something big was going to happen
