Default Skinny's Comments in Sunday's Enquirer

Per Skinny (paraphrased):
"I truly believe that UC would be no better than South Carolina, Ole Miss, or UK if playing in the SEC....and UC would lose to USC Trojans 49 out of 50 times".

My response is:
This is the type of bias that UC and other schools must overcome.

Skinny should provide evidence for his comment rather than displaying this bias.

The computers are objective, and indicate UC is a top 10 team based on their body of work.

The NCAA game has changed with the decrease in scholarships and increase in TV exposure available to more teams.

In recent bowl games, Utah beat Alabama, and Boise St beat Oklahoma.

UC was one of the leaders in NFL draft picks last year and will have at least two top picks next year.

How much more evidence is needed before the bias stops?

i HATE when uk fans play the 'sec is great' card to somehow validate their team. a good team is a good team - no matter the conference. (i get it at work all the time.)

UC is big, fast, and has some really good skill players. they're good. just 'cause they haven't been good for 50 years shouldn't be held against them.

Apparently, Oregon would beat USC 49 out of 50 times

SEC teams play absolutely no one ooc, so they are hard to judge

UC has played teams that are the equivalent of (near as I can guess), SC or Ole Miss i.e. Oregon St., Fresno, S. Fla & Rutgers - they would all be at least middle of the pack SEC teams - and the Cats beat them all...handily in most cases
So, heck with Skinner - he's just trying to become relevant...and he's really kind of out of touch

Richard Skinner proves the old saying which goes:

It's better for people to think you are ignorant than to open your mouth (or write an op-ed) and remove all doubt.
