Default Interesting and Scary both

I read an entry in a blog today about college basketball that made reference to a person, WWW. Completely unaware of who WWW is, I googled it (him). As it is WWW's real name is William Wesley, and GQ magazine did an article on him. He is one of the most influential figures in college hoops recruiting.

WWW is a handler for Calipari. He has no association with the schools Cal's been at so he doesn't qualify as a booster and no one can bust either him or Cal. That's how Cal keeps his hands clean. He's disabled two schools already with violations. This time Wes and his recruiting tactics might catch up to him. If Calipari suddenly bolts for the NBA again, UK sanctions won't be far behind.

When I heard Teague had UK on his list, I just about wrote him off. I had heard of Wes before, but I didn't know he was so closely tied to Calipari. I just figured Calipari was dirty enough on his own.
When I hear about stuff like this, or about the Big Ten taking a wrecking ball to our BCS conference, I wonder why I am so invested in sports.

WWW is also very close to LeBron James. Prince James is now "tight" with Calipari through their mutual connection with WWW. Apparently, Teague made his commitment to UK after a reassurance from Prince James. Not sure how that complies with the NCAA regulations, and knowing Cal's history, I'm sure something he is doing is not in compliance.

WWW won't continue to be able to do this much longer. He is in the process of officially becoming an agent.

Actually I believe he already is one. Nothing is going to change.

Worldwide Wes has been doing this for years. How could you be a basketball fan and have never heard of him?
People need to wake up and learn how this system works. The handlers/agents/sportsbrands are huge players in this game.
